New Mexico, has a border with the state of Coahuila, and part of Sonora, both part of Mexico, did you know that Texas was part of Coahuila before they left our Union, bUt New Mexico was an independent state, and during the vice royalty of New Spain, depended directly from Mexico City.

Yes. New Mexico's southern border touches the border of Mexico. A couple of New Mexico cities that are close to the Mexican border include Chaparral, NM & Columbus, NM. Glad to help! Regards, Ryan S. :)

No, New Mexico does not border the Gulf of Mexico. Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida do, however.
