Not anymore. They were run out in the 70s and 80s. They owned Casinos such as the Flamingo, Stardust, Circus Circus and ETC. However, today they are owned by corporations. While they may not own them, there is most likely still a mob presence in Vegas. Instead of owning the Casinos, they probably form cheating rings to get money. So to answer your question, no, they do not own any Casinos in Vegas nor anywhere else. They've since moved on to bigger and better things.

Mega Casinos cannot be sold anymore in the new Properties Feature of Mafia Wars. Before they improved the Properties, you can still sell it and can earn the achievement by selling 50 of it.

You will find Penny Slots in Vegas quite easily. Just go to any of the casinos and they should be on display on the casino floor. I have found that the pennies are more popular in the less expensive hotel casinos, than the more 'upper class' ones. So, you may want to search for penny slots in some of the less famous casinos downtown Vegas than in places like Bellagios, where richer people tend to play. Also, you might get a better payout percentage. That said, you will still find the true 'penny' slots anywhere. Most casinos have loads and loads of 5 cent machines. Be careful though, playing multi-line 5c machines can soon add up if you do start to play 9 or 15 lines.
