No.

The confusion arises because you essentially are given a "second chance" to get the stimulus.

In 2008 you received (or in some cases, didn't receive) a stimulus check based on the income, taxes, and number of children that you reported on your 2007 tax return (Form 1040/1040A/1040EZ). Because of low income or low taxes shown on their 2007 return, some people did not receive the maximum amount. Other people did not receive anything at all because someone could claim them as a dependent on their 2007 tax return. And some people did not receive credit for all of their children because the children were born in 2008.

In 2009, you again calculate how much of a stimulus payment you are eligible to receive based ONLY on the information on your 2008 return. If this is more than the amount you already received, you get back the additional amount. If it is the same or less than the amount you already received, then you just forget about it and get to keep the difference.

What is the deadline date to file 2008 tax return when an extension was filed by the 2009 deadline?

Do you have to report money pulled out of 401k in nov 2009 on 2009 return or can you report it on 2010's return?

You have to report this on your 2009 Return. You cannot decide which year you wish to report income. It must be filed on the return for the year in which it was withdrawn or in which income was earned.

Does a 16-year-old have to complete a tax return for 2008 if he began working in 2008?

Whether you're required to file a return generally depends upon your age, filing status, and income. For 2008 income, Single under age 65 with no dependents isn't required to file if your income is under $8,950 ($9,350 for 2009). If you're claimed as a dependent on your parents' or someone else's return, then you'd be required to file for 2008 if your earned income was over $5,450 ($5,700 for 2009). However, even if you're not required to file a return, you should go ahead and file if income tax was withheld from your earnings to receive a refund of that tax.

If you just moved to the state do you have to pay state taxes?

In the year in which you moved to a state, you will be a part-year resident of both your old and new states. You will have to file tax returns in both states. Most states have a special form or a special attachment to the regular form for part-year residents. If you moved in 2009, you will have to file in both states for 2009, but not in 2008. People who move early in the year sometimes run into a little snag: The federal government shares tax return information with the states. They share it with the state that you put in the mailing address on your federal tax return. So if you moved in early 2009, you will probably put your new address on your 2008 federal return. The feds will send your 2008 return data to your new state and a few years later you may get a nasty letter asking why you didn't file a state return for 2008. Don't panic. Just reply to the letter and explain. Or you can head it off by filing a non-resident return for 2008 with your new state showing zero income, but that is not required.

Can You still get my tax refund check from 2007?

Sure. Most people can get their 2007 refunds until April 15, 2011. But it is too late to get the stimulus check based on your 2007 tax return that was mailed in 2008. If you did not get your stimulus check, you have a second chance to get a stimulus check based on your 2008 return which you are filing in 2009.
