The Bible never contradicts itself for it is the word of God. There are several passages which people have grabbed at and accused of being contradictions. However, the Bible always fulfills all three of the tests for proving the validity of a historical document. Personally I do not believe that the Bible is a simple historical document but for those who don't believe the Bible,it is.
Not really, no. Keep in mind, I am a Christian, so I'm a tad bit biased. But, I haven't yet seen an example of it being contradicted. There may be some other opinions around here, though.
ANSWER: People say the Bible contradicts itself, but I have yet to see any proof of that. Some say the gospels contradict in their stories. But look at it this way. If you blindfold four people and have them touch an elephant, you will get four different descriptions of the elephant, but there description all will be of the same animal. The gospel writers were telling their stories of what happened from their unique viewpoints, but they are all the same stories.
When it seems to be elements that contradict what the bible says you have to pray for forgiveness and repent of your sin
It doesn't.
The pope never contradicts the Bible. He may contradict what certain groups, particularly Protestants, THINK the Bible says. The Magisterium of the Church has the final say as to how Catholics should interpret the Bible.
Those people that contradict the Bible are heretics.
Im not a christian but it would contradict the bible by knowingly doing yourself harm
It's not that WikiAnswers contradicts itself, it's that WikiAnswers' users contradict each other. WikiAnswers is made up of individual contributors (users), and since everyone has their point of view and their way of knowledge and doing things around here, they tend to contradict each other. It's just two different people's ways of doing things, and sometimes they just happen to contradict each other.
None of the few copyist errors in the Bible violate or confuse any Christian doctrine.
The study of the Bible itself is the doctrine of faith. The doctrine of salvation for all mankind.
Essentially nothing. If you insist on a precisely literal interpretation, the theory does contradict the book of Genesis in the Bible.
They do not contradict!
I hesitate to contradict you.
Evolution does not contradict religion itself. It contradicts the interpretation of a religious text as a literal description of biology. By the same token, the solar system contradicts the interpretation of religious text as meaning the Earth is the center of the Universe.
