Best Answer

Elmer's white glue will hold wood together for craft projects and toys. - Yellow carpenter's glue will hold better. The best of all is TiteBond lll which has been scientifically tested and proven to be the strongest of today's available wood glues.

It depends on what your goal is. If you are gluing wood to wood then wood glue is typically the best answer. However, if you are looking for something temporary then Elmers white glue is better, it's seal is far easier to break than wood glue. Also if you are trying to glue different materials together, like wood and metal, then a adhesive like Liquid Nails is best, however Gorrila Glue will also work and Elmers will even work in a pinch.
