The entire skin surface is full of nerve endings. When an area is subjected to damage, for instance you unknowingly put your hand on something very hot, in split seconds the nerve ends will carry that message to the brain and back comes the message to move your hand and do something about the damage, and they think computors are smart. They can't do that.
