How do you unfreeze an android Verizon phone?

Generally pressing the lock/power key, then unlocking the phone once more resolves the issue with stock ROMs. You can also do a battery pull if that does not resolve the issue. If you really want to solve the issue of your phone freezing on you, you should consider rooting it and flashing a custom ROM, as they tend to be more stable and faster than the stock ROM included with the phone. As a side note, rooting WILL void your warranty, so if you are not experienced with computers or cannot follow instructions well I recommend sticking with the stock ROM.

Is rooting android dangerous?

Rooting itself is not dangreous but what you do with it can be. Like for example if you wanted to flash a custom ROM or a custom recovery it is dangreous cause you could possibly brick your phone if not done correctly. But just rooting the phone no. But to warn you it does void your warranty. The only way to fix that is to install the offical firmware back and make sure nothing is modified in the system but if the KNOX is tampered with then no it will void your warranty completely.

Why does the Android OS on your LG smart phone use so much battery?

Because the "Kernel" on your phone was set to the safest settings but "Safest"settings does not mean that they will save your battery. Solution...Rooting your phone you can flash a different kernel that would give you better batt life. Rooting is the equivalent of jailbreaking an iPhone. Search online with the model of your LG and rooting and read a bit about it and to see if you might be able to do it yourself some rooting is easy for a person that has no experience do it but some others need some knowledge because you can damage your phone to the point that you need a new one.
