I have given my brother some jelly that I made and he has taken it to Denver with him. He is storing it in his refrigerator and it is turning to sugar. What is causing that?
where is the answer?
Most regular jellies have sugar in them. There are some that are no added sugar which still has the natural sugars in the fruit. The amount of sugar or carbs varies base don the type of fruit used. There are also those that are listed as sugar free that are made with Splenda like those made by Polaner.
You sweeten it and the jelly thickens slightly.
Your fridge may be too cold. Check the temperature, 0-5 degrees celsius.
no
Jelly doesn't contain fat. The main culprit in jelly is the sugar. The sugar turns into fat if it is not burned off. If you are looking for a healthier jelly prooduct, look for a jelly that is sugar free.
Jelly is usually filled with sugar. Sugar is not something that should be consumed except in small amounts. Therefore, jelly is not really good for the body.
