If a ganglion does not cause symptoms it is best just to leave it alone. However, many people prefer to be rid of them.
The best possible method of removing it is through homeopathy. Ask a homeopathist to give you a mixture of Ruta-Graveolens . Homeopathy doesn't work for everyone, you have to be someone who is willing to try it. The pain will generally subside after two days and the cyst will usually disappear after 3 days. Homeopathy works at the source of the problem and the cyst is said to never return.
Many people have heard of the traditional cure. That is, to smash them with a heavy book (tradition holds it to be the family bible). This bursts the cyst under the skin. The fluid is then absorbed into the bloodstream. In some people this works well, but there is a high chance of it recurring as the walls of the cyst can reform. However, it is an instant cure for some.
Sometimes it is possible to suck out the fluid with a needle and syringe. If the jelly-like fluid is very thick this may not work. Also, if it does work, there is a chance that the cyst will recur as the wall of the cyst is not removed, and the fluid may form again to refill the ganglion. However, in some people it cures the problem. As it is quite easy for a doctor to do, it is often attempted first.
Surgical removal of the ganglion is the last resort that one should consider. This is a relatively minor operation. Rarely, after a ganglion is removed, one recurs again at the same site. However, after having it surgically removed a recurrence is much less likely to occur.
well you can get it rid of it by a surgery or by hitting it with a book. but to get rid of it painlessly i found a website http://www.instructables.com/id/Get-rid-of-a-ganglion-painlessly and it tells you to put a rubber and then bandage over it. i have tried it and it works. sleep with that rubber and bandage at night and you will see the great effect overnight
i hope i have helped, please let me know if i did
thank you
I got my ganglion cyst aspirated (they stuck a needle in it and sucked it out). The only part that hurt a little was they sprayed my foot with a really cold solution so I wouldn't feel the needle that had the numbing solution. After that, there was no pain throughout the procedure. A little bit of pressure though. It was a breeze.
In past times, people would get a really big book (like a Bible) and smack it, but most people don't do that now because it doesn't guarantee the cyst will not come back and it may damage the area around the cyst (like bruising & such). I have a friend who had a ganglion cyst on the top of her hand, and all the doctor did was stick a needle into it to drain it out. It came back a little bit, but I guess that helps. I have a ganglion cyst on my wrist, and because it doesn't hurt & doesn't restrict any movement I just leave it be. I do know that doctors will sometimes do surgery to remove a cyst, but that would only be for cosmetic reasons.
Ganglion cyst removal, or ganglionectomy, is the removal of a fluid-filled sac on the skin of the wrist, finger, or sole of the foot.

medical term: Ganglion Cyst
i have a ganglion cyst in my wrist, i had pain in my wrist occasionally and it hurt to move or push down on my wrist. i then noticed a lump one day and found out it was a ganglion. my ganglion cyst only hurts ocassionalyy
No, ganglion cysts are not dangerous at all. (I have a ganglion cyst in my wrist).
Depending on how large the cyst is, I'd say not at all. I had one removed in my wrist and was able to continue with my day like nothing happened.

The only risks for ganglion cyst removal are infections or inflammation due to the cortisone injection. There is a small risk of damage to nearby nerves or blood vessels

Alternatives to aspiration and excision in the treatment of ganglion cysts include watchful waiting and resting the affected hand or foot

No. Garlic has no effect whatsoever on ganglion cysts.
I have a ganglion cyst in my wrist, and I personally know two people with cysts- one has a ganglion cyst on the side of her wrist and one has a ganglion cyst on the top of her hand. One can also get cysts in other places of the body (especially near joints), but I'm not sure if cysts in other areas are also called "ganglion cysts".
