Just speaking from personal experience, yes. I heard about this from a friend, so I decided to try it. After only a few weeks and a lot of practice, I've been able to work up to over a few minutes underwater without taking a breath, and noticed that it has definitely improved my stamina when working out, running, etc... I can do that "extra few" push ups, and run that extra lap now.
My educated guess is that is has something to do with increasing oxygen levels in the blood - the more 02 in the blood, the more stamina, and the longer you can hold your breath.
Holding your breath underwater is when your head/face is underwater and you do not breath.
Holding your breath under waterdo it for a long time
No, when alligators go under water, they are holding their breath.
30 minutes.
No, however young babies are capable of holding their breath under water.
because there gills breave under Walter i it is like holding your breath if a fish is not in Walter
They aren't. They're really good at holding their breath, but every now and then they have to surface and take a breath or two before diving again.
the Guinness world record for breath holding is 22 minutes held by Stig Severinsen. It is called static Apnoea which must be conducted under water. The person uses O2 to get the body saturated before the attempt
I don't know how long YOU can hold your breath under water but at 2008, a man named David Blaine broke the world record for holding his breath for seventeen minutes and four seconds underwater.
I would call it mutter. e.g she muttered under her breath.
they breath with their gills
"Under your breath."
