Absolutely. If you leave the doors open, the air conditioner will need to work over capacity as you are allowing warm air into the area. As well as warm air entering, you are allowing the cooled air to exit. Having the doors open means that the air will not cool to the temperature you have set the air conditioner to, and it will be using far more electricity than it usually would with the doors closed.

AC power can be transmitted more efficiently than DC.
this works with both.
No. An LED (light emitting diode) allows current to flow in one direction, thus it cannot alternate as is implied by "an AC source". ANSWER: YES they can. Any diode can work with AC They can work from AC line directly. My overhead light in my kitchen are across 120 AC now for 8 years. But then again I know what I am doing
hot wire ammmeter or a moving iron ammeter will work for ac and dc.
A AC system does not have to work as hard if doors are closed unless someone is going in or out. If doors are left open heat can get into the house.
because air conditioners work throughout a room closed or not closed. if it is open the cool air will get out of the room and the AC will have to cool more air than the air inside the room which will make the AC to work longer and the electricity usage will increase.
It's not required but they won't shut off if there is a constant influx of hot air
It doors have sensors for the ac system. It doors have sensors for the ac system.
4pm ac dc on stage at 8.25 pm
Vacuum issue somewhere Vacuum issue somewhere
The 2003 Lincoln Navigator air conditioner airflow is directed by lending doors. The blending doors open and close to direct the cool air. The blending door for the passenger side vent is probably stuck closed.
The library should have a shop manual, and if the doors a vacuum operated, the vacuum circuit changes when the engine reached operating temperature, also, going up hills decreases(Fuller Throttle-lower vacuum) the amount of usable vacuum for the doors..:)
Save money on air conditioning costs by using a timer on your AC. Set it for about a half an hour before you want your house to be cool. This way you don't have to have it running all day You can also cut your air conditioning bill by making sure all doors and windows are closed in your house. Also, close doors to unused rooms. There is not point in cooling down a room you are not in.
Clarification on your question is needed, do you mean: 1. You have whole house air conditioning and it doesn't work when the exterior doors are closed. 2. Same as 1. but AC stops working when interior doors are closed. This could stop the AC from working well. 3. You have a window air conditioner in a room and it doesn't work when the door is closed. 4. You expect the air conditioner to turn off when the doors to your house are closed. The first 3 are governed by the in/out rule. Everything in life needs an in and an out. For instance your sink needs the water to come in through the tap and go out through the drain. If either one isn't working, you have trouble. The same is true for heating and air conditioning. For cold air from the air conditioning to get into a room, the warm air already there needs to get out. This is done by the poorly named "cold air return" (it is never really cold, even in winter). If you have an older house with few cold air returns, you will either need to 1. Leave the door to that room open (usually a bedroom) or 2. Cut an inch or so off the bottom of the door with a circular saw. That will allow the cold air to get into the room and the hot air to get out. To answer possibilities 1, 3, and 4, if your AC isn't working well with the outside doors closed, you probably have a lack of insulation and air sealing so the cool is escaping the house too quickly. Seal holes through the attic floor like the plumbing stack, chimney, and light fixtures with Great Stuff foam. Then add more insulation or, preferably, have a contractor do it. The attic can easily be 130 degrees in summer and you need that heat to stay out of the house. Air sealing the band joist and sill plate in the basement are next, followed by the walls, in general.
A portable air conditioning unit could certainly keep at least three rooms cool, but only if you use the proper techniques. Keeping windows closed and doors closed will help insulate the cool air and keep your rooms cool.
