Apparently not. At home we have a Wii, PS2, Xbox360 and an LG upconvert DVD player...none of them play Blu Ray discs. We are planning on buying a PS3, however I've heard the blu-ray support device for it isn't quite there either. I guess we'll be shopping for a true blu-ray player. ***sigh***
No. Only Wii discs will work on the Wii. But Blu-Ray discs will work on a PlayStation 3, since they are the same format, and i just use UFUWare Blu-ray Toolkit to rip homemade blu ray movies to Wii for playing.

The size of the game is not really the issue. The issue is this: is it a Nintendo Wii game? I'm guessing not. I'm guessing it is one of the later Nintendo DS games, in which case it must be played on the Nintendo DS. Wii games are on DVDs.
