Although not true of every system, the vast majority of remotes for TVs and other home AV equipment use infrared radiation to transmit information. Infrared radiation is very similar to visible light, but of a shorter wavelength, so our eyes can't see it. it is however of a higher wavelength than radio waves on the electromagnetic spectrum, illustrated at the link
yes
ANSWER: DEFINITELY NOT. ultraviolet is very harmful to humans Infrared is however the usual communication
yes
Programmers use Ultra Edit the most for editing columns of code. It can also be used as a powerful replacement to Windows notepad, among other things.
Remote controls use both infrared and radio frequency technologies. Your typical TV remote uses infrared and your typical car remote uses RF.
yes. the space suit does protect astronauts for harmful rays from the sun
It would depend on the brand of remote that is being used. Just look at the instructions that come with the remote to find out how to properly set it up.

UV (Ultra- Violet)
Blacklights use UV (Ultra Violet) rays, and there are 2 different UV rays. Short waves can be dangerous when in contact with the skin and are primarily used for germicidal operations. Long waves are used for many things and are, most of the time, used at bowling alleys.
