Moen and Delta shower controls are similar. Either one can be fitted in same locations. Both have versions for soldered pipes, threaded fittings , or PEX fittings. Both companies make a huge range of controls, so there is something to suit everyone.
Not always, there is a standard shower valve that most handles will work for. it depends on what your set up is. As far as the shower head is concerned you should be able to put anything on.As I'm standing at Home Depot looking at all the different shower valves on the display I wonder which one is the "standard" that all handles and trim fit on. The fact is unless you are replacing with it the same valve or in some cases the same brand all the trim plates and handles have to be changed.*It TOTALLY depends on the brand and make of your faucet. You would have to determine what brand the faucet is(ex. Moen, Delta), The next move is to determine which model it is(ex. Moen Heritage, Delta Leland). Then you get their own catalogue # and determine what cover plate, handle and screws will fit onto your existing faucet, order them, and replace them. ALL FAUCETS AND THEIR PARTS ARE MADE DIFFERENTLY!!!*Cheers, QuiteSomethingAns 4 - YES, you DO need to replace this valve unless your new fixture is identical
Yes, remove your old shower valve and fit a new Moen anti-scald valve. This will not change when other items are turned on.
You need a special adaptor to link the two. This is an insert, threaded at one end to fit where the faucet aerator fits (you remove the aerator) and at the other end a pipe thread to fit a shower hose. These are commonly available in most plumbing stores and there are 2-3 variations. -Take your aerator along for comparison when buying the adaptor.
One may make an extension to the shower head buy using a special kit that is designed to lengthen it. Delta manufactures a variety of these kits and one may view them through their online catalog to choose the best fit.
No it will not.
Yes, there are all kinds of different faucet adaptors. Many are sold by good plumbing stores or HD.
The attachments for portable dishwashers are not universal, and do not fit all faucets. To fix this, a person can buy an attachment for their faucet the matches the dishwasher.
I fit all shower heads 72 inches from floor .
In nearly every modern faucet, there is a trim cap on the top center of the knob that is a friction fit. You should be able to get a fingernail under that trim cap and pop it off. Almost certainly you will find a Philips screw under it; remove that screw and the knob should then come off. You may need to apply some force to the knob; crud getting between knob and shaft, carried there by water, will tighten the fit over the years.
A motor from a 1991 Oldsmobile will fit into a 1996 Oldsmobile Delta 88. The motor mounts will need to be changed.

You can fit a 'winter faucet' . These units have spout and handle outside and the handle operates a rod that is 8, 12 or 16 inch long, this rod operates the valve at the far end of the tube, inside the building. I fit many of these and they are easy to fit and less than $20.
