∙ 11y agoIn a manner of speaking. He talked mostly to her father, and assumed that because the father said he could marry her, that she would go along with it. But Paris did not talk to Juliet in anything other than the most superficial way, and he had no idea what was going on with her. It is unlikely that she gave him any sign of encouragement, but he was too dim to recognize this.
