If you are talking about the God of the Bible, the quick and generally accepted answer is no, although there are no verses in the Bible directly dealing with cremation. The verses that do speak to the subject in a round about fashion say that the body is more or less meaningless after the soul has left it. Cremation, donating body parts for science, or other various uses like donating a liver would therefor be a neutral action that would not be wrong.
Answer:Sin is the transgression of the law (I John 3:4). The law is the Ten Commandments... and they don't comment on cremation, or even burial procedures for that matter. The foolish human concern about cremation, of course, is the fear that God won't be able to "piece the person back together" for the resurrection from the dead. But, think about it... people die in burning buildings almost everyday. Others are lost or buried at sea and become fish food. What is God to do?"...someone may ask, 'How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?' How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. But God gives it a body as He has determined, and to each kind of seed He gives its own body... so will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body... The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven... and just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven." (I Cor.15:35-49 NIV)Dying isn't a sin... nor is the treatment of the body."...we will all be changed..." (verse 51).

If you are trying to witness to someone and you asked them : God forbid, but if you were to die today are you 100% sure that you would go to heaven ? sincerely Pianoplayer
The words "Forbid it, Almighty God!" come from Patrick Henry's famous "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" speech, spoken in 1775.Similar wording can be found in the Bible:22Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, "God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You."
