Yes.....
Puppeteers are people who perform using puppets. They often perform for church events/groups.
Puppets were and still are used to perform for Ruitiuals and Entertainment.
IT IS A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE PERFORM SHOWS USING PUPPETS.
Well, I'm in the Puppet Ministry for Church, so I guess I know a little bit about that. Puppets can be used for a wide variety of things. Our Puppet Ministry at Church is going to go places to perform for kids who haven't heard about God's Word. Puppets can also be in TV and movies. For instance, the Muppets. The whole show is a bunch of puppets with an occasional human.

Puppets are made for entertainment
Yes, of course. They are very entertaining to watch as well. I have seen Vietnamese water puppetry both in Australia and in Vietnam. It is very spectacular, especially in Vietnam where it is quite cheap to watch and you can learn of historical facts and folk music whilst enjoying watching puppets and their puppeteers perform dancing and acting. The puppets are mostly decorative and very beautiful, some are quite humourous.
There are different types of latex rubber used to make puppets. 1.Slip Latex, which is similar to what Halloween masks are made of. When cast it is a flexible membrane that holds it shape well. The most extensive collection of latex puppet characters for sale is from Axtell Expressions. www.axtell.com Some horror type puppets are also available from slip latex at http://thehorrordome.com/HDSHOPPINGPROPS/HDSHOPPINGPUPPETS.htm 2. Foam Latex. This is a softer latex that is often used in the film industry for special effects and stop motion puppets. It has a softer skin and because of the spongy characteristic it wrinkles and moves like real skin. It is primarily used for short term television or movies because it does not have a long life and can often tear. Spitting Image, the British satire program in the 70s and 80s used foam latex extensively. While there may not be any companies offering off the shelf foam latex puppets, you can read about making your own here from this article by Tom McLaughlin.... http://www.sagecraft.com/puppetry/building/FoamPuppets.html
