No, you don't. Just buy oil from Toyota dealer and you will be fine. It's relatively cheap and works great with Camry engines.
You do not have to buy oil from your Toyota dealer and pay a premium price. Toyota does not make oil and you are buying nothing more than some name brand oil with a Toyota label on the bottle. Purchase a name brand oil of your choice of the correct weight at the place with the best price. Do you need high mileage oil? If the engine has over 100,000 miles on the odometer, then High Mileage oil can be of benefit and for sure will do no harm.
I recommend a high-mileage synthetic. 10w-30
SAE 10w30 high mileage oil. Most major brands maker a high mileage oil. I personally use Pennzoil in my Toyota Tacoma with 130,000 miles on the ODO.
Your engine has relatively high mileage and it is not recommended to use synthetic oil with high mileage engines. The problem is many used engines will develop multiple leaks due to old gaskets. Otherwise, there is no problem not to use it. Mobil One is the best you can get. The grade you need is 5W30.
Switching to a High Mileage oil is a smart move but using an additive I would not recommend. All the additive you need is already in the High Mileage oil you buy as long as you purchase a quality name brand oil.
All major brands are excellent. If your Camry has over 100,000 miles on the ODO I recommend you use a High Mileage oil. I personally use Pennzoil High Mileage SAE 5w30 in my Toyota Truck with 135,000 miles. It does not use one drop of oil and runs perfectly. Just make sure you use the correct weight that is recommended by Toyota.
Pennzoil High Mileage conventional oil.
SAE 5w30 any major brand of High Mileage oil.
No it will not. If it is a coupon for a regular oil change, you will not be able to get that special rate on the high mileage oil change.
You can use Lucas oil treatment in just about any type of oil. I use it with Valvoline high mileage.
I assume "High mileage oil" refers to oil that does not need to be changed for a "high mileage". What might be called "long life oil". The point is not that it's better, or worse, for the car. The point is that it lasts longer. This means it does not need to be changed as often. This means the car will use less oil during it's life, generating less toxic waste (Used engine oil is "Very Nasty Stuff"!) to be re-processed. TO sum up, it's not better for the car, but it is better for you, me, everyone else, and the planet we all live on. There are oils that are formulated for high mileage engines.
No, you can and should use high mileage oil if the vehicle has over 100,000 on the ODO.
It should about 5k or 7k miles depending on in which conditions you are driving.
