No, anyone that meets the requirements may join the WikiReviewers.

These requirements are:

  • Must be at least 13 years of age
  • Pass a basic spelling/grammar/writing test
  • Be in good standing with the site
  • Have at least 20 quality answers in your history

Quality answers do not include those answered with one or two words such as yes, no, your mom, or duh. This means answers that are written in complete sentences, with correct spelling and grammar.

Having a warning does not always keep a site member from getting into the WikiReviewers. It depends on what the warning was for, how recent it was, and if the member seems to have changed the behavior. Each request will be evaluated individually.

Why do you have to be at least 15 to become a Supervisor and only 13 to be a Copy Assistant or be on the WikiReviewers program?

To be a supervisor, you will be interacting with many more people. You will need to warn or block people from time to time, and the site feels you need a little more life experience before being given the tools to do this. The WikiReviewers does not really have tasks that involve your interaction with others. It is just editing straight to the site. However, in order to comply with certain federal regulations, we must require the users to be at least 13 years of age.
