they might ask you what colors you want........or you have to ask them after they're done putting on brackets on your teeth.I got to choose them right after I got on my brackets! In about every 1-2 months, they ask you to go to an appointment to tighten your wire on your braces......you change your color ties too, obviously. ^_^ hope this helped!
