It depends. Some breeds such as the Poodle could be capitalize or not. In kennel clubs such as the AKC, both words that form the name of the dog breed (eg. Labrador Retriever) is capitalize, but if you type "Labrador Retriever" in a Word document, it will tell you to change it back to "Labrador retriever."
Only the parts of the name that are proper nouns. For example, you would capitalize English but not bulldog in English bulldog (or English springer spaniel). Sometimes you might have to look it up to find out if part of the name is a proper noun. For example, some people don't know that Labrador is a region in Canada, so you would write that Labrador retriever, but golden retriever would not be capitalized.
You mean like Spot, Rover, Fido, Boots, Fluffy, Mittens, those sorts of names? Yes.
If you mean like dog, cat, porpoise ... no.
If you mean scientific names: the genus name is capitalized, the species name isn't, so Canis lupus, Felis sylvestris, Mephitis mephitis. As you can see from that last one, the species part isn't capitalized even if it's the same word as the genus name.
If it's a name YES. Idiot.
yes but not spaniel just Cocker
No
Unless it starts a sentence.

Lady is an American Cocker Spaniel .
"Cocker" in the breed name "Cocker Spaniel" comes from the "cock" part of "woodcock" - the game that the Cocker Spaniel was first bred to hunt, flush and retrieve.
Lady was a Cocker Spaniel, although Disney never stated whether she was the American or English variety. Based on her appearance, most people agreed that she was an American Cocker Spaniel.
She is a Cocker Spaniel.People debate on what kind of Spaniel, though.
no, English cocker spaniel became cocker spaniel in he 14th century.
"Cocker" is an adjective; "spaniel" is a noun. So the plural is cocker spaniels.
no the cocker spaniel isn't the pet of the month!!!
Yes. they should do :) They are a lovely breed of dog. The only aggressive Cocker spaniels I have met are golden cockers. But if you've had a cocker spaniel for many years, and then decide to bring home a puppy, they might get a little jealous. So be careful. but if you get them the same time. it should be fine :) x
Can this cocker spaniel can hurt you or make you sick
A Cocker is a Spaniel
The very first webkinz ever was the Webkinz cocker spaniel (not the American cocker spaniel but the cocker spaniel) Hope that helps!
Lady, from the film "Lady and the Tramp", is an American Cocker Spaniel. The muzzle on the American Cocker is shorter than an English Cocker, and an English Cocker Spaniel has a more Labrador-shaped head .
