I don't think most women love prostitution, but i do think it appeals far more to women than men as a profession for several reasons.

1. They get money that is fairly easily eared, meaning all they have to do is get naked and allow a guy to do rent their body for a limited time, which does not require a particular skill, hard work, responsibility or fear of being fired. In other words they are lazy and don't see justice and morality as qualities they can or will fight for.

2. Many women feel insecure about themselves and their bodies partially because they lack the strength and abilities that makes them feel worth something, and the thought of someone paying money for their body makes them feel wanted and valued though this will never erase the feeling of insecurity as they are valued for a body they have not created and the value of a prostitute is only in their body and only temporary. But to many women being valued for their body is all they hope to be valued for because they don't feel strong or good enough to do anything else.

3. Most women love attention and company especially sexually like men but lacking the physical strength and drive to support themselves are more likely to use their body sexually as "bate" than men who prefer using it to show of what they can accomplish with it. Many have difficulty admitting this because it is not socially acceptable which only increases the drive and curiosity about it as they would tend to try to suppress it through denial.

4. Most women love sex and money and the security it brings. Sex gives emotional security of being wanted, and money of cause financial security. Generally women does not have the drive for justice, power, truth and pride/dignity that many men have and so they don't see the long term damage this profession has on themselves and society especially the damning motivation to better oneself, progress, create good. In this they are too emotional and short sighted doing what they feel like at the moment without knowing what price they really pay in the hurt and lack of trust and loving strong partners they will find in the future.

5. Women enjoy prostitution because there are men there who enjoy having them do it and women like men and acceptance. In truth men are as accepting of prostitution as women it is just that being the prostitute is the more submissive role while they one who pays for them the more powerful role of control, resource and options. This role of women in the submissive role to the man lies genetically and is evident if you just look at the male and female genitals a fact that proves that men and women are not the same in neither ability, desire or purpose.

I love the question. I have myself had a girlfriend who used to be a prostitute and like many prostitutes changed name and appearance while lying about doing it to cover it up and yet continuing going back into it as she was very addicted to the sex, money, attention from men and acceptance of her body. Deep down she resented herself for doing it and it became a serious problem for her in relationships later. Some women especially those who does not believe in a more loving progressive relationship does not see the need to lie about and generally find their parents as the biggest obstacle.

Yet it has to be said some women are forced into prostitution too, and some love the idea of it though they do not dare doing it out of fear of social rejection.

Generally I do not think women enjoy prostitution more than men, they just accept the submissive role more than men having less will and drive for power and responsibility, and less creative vision. I think there are as many women that hate this profession as there are men.

What is the origin and the evolution of prostitution?

Sometimes called "the world's oldest profession", prostitution has been around in some form or another since the dawn of written history. In many ancient cultures, female prostitution was an accepted profession for many women, especially those who could not earn a living any other way - husbands killed in war or died from laboring. It wasn't until the church - especially the Christian church - decided that sex was bad that prostitution became a 'sordid' form of employment. Even then, on and off, prostitution and brothels enjoyed varying levels of acceptance in the public eye. Some cities and towns had entire 'red light districts' where brothels were, if not welcomed, at least tolerated, so long as the owners and management made their 'donations' to the local law enforcement. Thus, while strictly illegal, the proliferation of prostitution enabled police corruption to flourish as well. In western society, there has always been a two-faced, rather double standard towards prostitution. Men who publicly railed against 'painted women' and touted morality and decency were also the prime customers of many madams and prostitutes. When prostitution is illegal, standards for cleanliness and safety are difficult to carry out or enforce, and also leads to the rise of 'pimps' to manage and control the individual prostitute, paying off the police and controlling their 'turf'. When prostitution is legalized and regulated through standards, the women are safer and cleaner - parts of Nevada have legalized brothels, and the world hasn't come to an end yet from it.
