Ireland and Scotland are two separate countries. So Irish people and Scottish people are not the same. There are two languages, Scotch Gaelic and Irish Gaelic. They are similar languages, but not exactly the same.

Yes they do, as do the vast majority of people in the United Kingdom.

Almost everyone in Britain speaks English, but other British languages are still spoken by significant numbers. In Scotland there are three distinct but somewhat overlapping main language communities: Gaelic speakers, Scots speakers and Standard English speakers.

Scots, variously called Lallands or Doric or Inglish, is the Anglic dialect of Modern English, just as so-called Standard English, locally known as Southron, is the Saxon dialect. But for political reasons, Scots language has been suppressed and slandered, as a debased form of English, even though its English literary tradition is older than that of Saxon English, and being Anglic, its claim to the name English is better Standard Southron's is.

The modern literary dialect of Scotland, and the English taught in schools, is a form of Southron called Scottish Standard English. It is virtually indistinguishable from its southern form except for a few quaint words like "wee" and a phrase here and there.

Movements to re-establish a Standard Scots as a literary dialect to be taught in schools regularly fail, possibly because some Celtic character that Scots carries in its substrate prevents its writers from uniting around any one regional form, the way the writers of Saxon English united around the dialect of London to create Standard English.

But many people speak it, and written literature is available in Scots. Anyone who loves English should check Scots out. If good old Standard English is a business-like blonde, Scots is her wild artistic half-sister. see www.scots-online.org

In Scotland there is a minority of Gaelic speakers. Scots or "Lallans" is also spoken, this has the same roots as English. The variation of Scots spoken in the North East of Scotland is "Doric".

They both speak Gaelic but they are separate languages: Irish Gaelic and Scottish Gaelic.

The pronunciation is quite different, but the written language is somewhat more understandable. In other words Gaelic is not a single language but two.

Ireland and Scotland are different countries. So their people are different. The countries are close to each other, so there are similarities. Both speak English, but each also has a form of Gaelic. They are similar, but still different. Music is different, but again has a lot of similarities. There are other cultural similarities, but they are still different. So Irish and Scottish are not the same.

Yes, they both speak English.

Their native Celtic languages (Irish Gaelic and Scottish Gaelic) are closely related languages, but they are not mutually intelligible.

The Irish language is still spoken by many people as their first language, though not by the vast majority. Others have some knowledge but don't use it. When the English invaded their language took over from the Irish language. As it is an international language, it is actually an advantage for Irish people to speak it for many reasons. It is good for travelling. It also makes Ireland attractive for investors from countries like the USA.
