yeah, its completely normal, they do it just to get any bacteria, or parasites that might be on it off. they will also shed the top layer of their shell for the same reason, and also to help grow.

∙ 14y agoA lot like cat poop, except more watery/mushy, and much smaller, of course. Also, the shape of the feces is much more uniform than it is with other animals. Each turd is always about half an inch long, and a little wider than the space between these two periods . .
