Yes, they do this everywhere. Usually they come by and pick up the hotel register daily or weekly and check everyone for warrants. It goes on everywhere and they even do this at apt complexes and trailer parks. I know this for a fact about hotels.

Come to your house for what reason? If you are a witness and they need to question you about something relevant to the case, probably they will. If you prefer that they not come to your house notify them that you wish to be interviewed at some other location (i.e. the police station, for instance).

Depends on where you are. If they check warrants you may go to jail. If they just take your name you are ok for the time being but then later they could in fact come back knowing (now) where you are. If your life is in danger they are required to attend to that firsat obviously.

I'm sure it depends on the city. Here, police officer are so busy with other things, they don't actively look for people with warrants. If you have an outstanding warrant against you, it will probably come up on a traffic stop when they run your driver license and you will be arrested then.

The short answer is no. In order for the police to search your boyfriend's house, they need to obtain a search warrant from a judge or magistrate where they demonstrate that there is probable cause that evidence of a crime in present in the house. If the police execute an arrest warrant, they can only search the reaching area where your boyfriend is found and conduct a protective search of areas in the house where a person can hide. Unless you have nothing to do with any of his criminal activity, then they will not and cannot arrest you. If they come to the house to arrest your boyfriend, just say nothing and do not impede what they are doing. If they believe you are engaging in any sort of criminal activity, they most likely will arrest you just to have leverage over your boyfriend. The larger question is what the hell are you doing with someone who has a "few" warrants out on him?

The Police should then come to the house and talk with both you and the ex-boyfriend. Police will then decide if ex-boyfriend should be arrested or not.
