Based on my own experiences with ex N, yes, all the time, but like individuals, individual narcissists are going to be different. Mine would use the internet constantly to find supply, constantly making new "friends" and talking to people who were sometimes 40 (she was 16) And it always felt like she went through a cycle of "cyber friends" for a while she will be friends with a lot of people, but then after several months, or sometimes even weeks, she will discard them and talk about how horrible of people they are, and then find more friends later on that she will discard as well.

Yes they do all the time that is their hunting ground...My ex N would be friends with a lot of people but would target somebody for sex chat or a meeting...But watch out they are on movie sites discussions forums,games sites even music sites...Be Aware of those predators...they will use you and dump you ....
