Well in Quebec, Canada they believe that a couple that has been living together for over a year are legally considered in the same standing as a married couple. they also have the same benefits as married couples, only when the relationship has problems and they both decide to separate that things get a little messy. in marriage, things are generally written down and both spouses know that they will get out of it in the end. simply living together couples, the courts decide who's right and who's wrong, and yes that is when a lot of money is spent on lawyers and things.

Marriage is an institution ordain by God himself for a men and woman to come together, accepting each other as they are and deciding to live together in peace and harmony.
