Best Answer

As a food producing plant, it grows rather quickly. From germination of the seed to being able to pick in as few as 45 days or less. You can get 3 crops of limas in the south, and up to 2 in the north. (US)

How long do green beans grow?

About 3-6 months. ** Green beans are like most green vegetables. They will keep growing until they are picked or die. The green bean has more flavor and is more tender if picked at about 3 to 5 inches long. Any longer and the green bean can get rather stringy and bitter. But you can let them grow so the inside bean is as big as a lima bean. The beans thpugh on the inside are a purplish colo if you plant the blue lake green beans.

How does a lima bean grow?

Lima beans need to be planted in moist and warm soil in a spot with lots of sunlight. The lima bean seed germinates and then it develops nodes, stems, leaves, the more nodes will grow. Hope this helps!

What beans grow in less than 2 weeks?

Do you mean grow to a proper sprout or grow to produce beans? For sprouts, germination should start within 2-3 days and will be ready for harvest in 4-5 days. Planting outdoors, sometimes it takes two weeks to get germination unless you soak the beans in warm water the night prior to planting. Bush beans will have pods in 7-8 weeks, pole beans 8-9 weeks and fava bean may take 10-12 weeks before they have pods.

Can you grow black beans in two weeks?

I don't know any plant that grows in two weeks, unless you're talking about alfalfa or other sprouted vegetables. Most plants have barely emerged from seeds at two weeks. To produce beans, they first have to grow roots, leaves, stems, and flowers, and that happens over the course of months, not days. Black beans usually start producing beans in 2-3 months.
