Yes, and No. It depends on how life has treated him later on. I was not that nice to many girls I dated in the past. I didn't think much of it when I ended things with them. I did not realize how good I had it until I fell in love with someone I wanted more than anything in this world. She was nice enough, but not as nice as the women I had dated and dumped in the past. It was then that I realized I had met some great women in the past, but was too self absorbed at the time to see if or appreciate it. Now that I am older, I do remember
them, and regret that I lost the opportunity for something meaningful with people who were very kind and decent. It took a lot for me to realize it, life had to break down the Ego, and I had to face the reality that I was the problem, not them.
