• Yes, some can be extremely aggressive if not trained properly by their owners they can be a killing machine. Male dogs in certain breeds are apt to be more aggressive. There is also pit bull fighting, even though illegal in most countries, and some other breeds are used to 'fight for the almighty buck.'

• Any dog can become aggressive, it does not matter what the breed is.

In most cases, unfortunately, yes. And the owner of the dog should probably be arrested or cited--because it the negligence of that owner that caused the death of not one but two dogs, the other dog and his own dog.

Lies, lies, lies, no, the dog doesn't have to be put down.

People kill people, they go to jail for a few years.

If a dog kills a dog, it shouldn't have it's own life removed.

Then you're left with no dogs, two wasted dogs.

You should sell or train the dog, not have it murdered.

I agree, the dog should be trained not to attack or act aggressivly toward other dogs (and people)

depending on the circumstances. if the dog is running lose and is caught by animal control and it has no tags. then yes. if the owner gains control of the dog, then it is at the owners descretion

How did the dog have access to a dead dog? Well, although this seems totally disgusting to us, dogs are carnivores & if dogs are not eating a species appropriate diet (raw meat & bone) or are on a crappy kibble diet (dogs - canis lupus familiaris- are 99.9% genetically the same as wolves - canis lupus-, only the outer appearance is different. So they are designed to eat raw meat. Feeding only kibble is like feeding ur kid granola bars for the rest of their lives.) then yes, they will eat the flesh of other animals. It isn't because the dog is a cannibal, it's because the dog was trying to get certain nutrients that are missing from his diet. Females will sometimes eat their own pups, if they are already dead or if they are very weak. So no, I do not think the dog should be put down, absolutely not. I think the owner of the dog should look into feeding it a better diet.
