Yes, ALL cells undergo cell division. Because if there were types of cells that don't undergo cell division, these cells' specialization wouldn't be able to grow or be replaced.

For example if hair cells didn't undergo cell division; your hair wouldn't be able to grow.

NO!! Nerve cells,Red blood cells..they don't undergo cell division.

Only body/somatic cells undergo mitotic division. However, not all body cells will go through mitosis. For instance, mature nerve cells and muscle do not have the ability to divide.

What type of cell undergoes mitosis?

Mitosis is the form of cell division that most eukaryotic cells undergo. In humans, all somatic (non-sex) cells use mitosis to divide. Sex-cells use meiosis instead of mitosis.

Can all cells in an adult undergo mitotic division at any given time?

No, not all cells are capable of mitotic division in an adult. Certain types of cells, called permanent cells (eg. heart muscle cells and brain cells) can not undergo mitosis in an adult. Another type of cell that cannot undergo mitosis is the mammalian red blood cell - which has no nucleus so cannot divide.

What type of cell division occurs in diploid eukaryotic cells?

Somatic cells undergo Mitosis. The nucleus and all its contents have to be replicated (copied) and divided into the daughter cells. The process where the nucleus divides is called karyokinesis

Are sex cells undergoing mitosis?

Your "germ" (or sex, but I prefer germ) cells undergo mitosis to create more diploids, but then they undergo Meiosis I to form a haploid. In boys, the germ cells will undergo Meiosis II to form their complete germ cells. In girls, the cell will only complete Meiosis II if the egg is fertilized. So the answer is sort of yes... the diploids will undergo Mitosis, but to actually get germ cells... they must undergo Meiosis.

Which Cell types rarely undergo mitosis?

All cells in the nervous system do not divide or replicate and thus do not undergo mitosis.

Do blood cells undergo meiosis?

no. only the cells in the gonads which are to become gametes undergo mitosis. blood cells, like all cells but gamete cells are called somatic and only divide by mitosis.

Mitosis is a division of what?

All the cells that divide in your body, except for sex cells, which divide through meiosis, divide by mitosis.

What happens after all cells are formed?

Mitosis, the division of cells.

What cells do undergo mitosis?

mitosis means , '' the type of cell dividion in which number of chromosomes remain same in daughter cell as well as parent cell..... All type of sometic cells undergo mitosis.... and germ cells undergo meiosis.

What types of cells in your body undergo mitosis?

all of them. that is how your body replenishes the dead cells, such as your dead skin cells that fall off your skin daily.

Growth of the zygote and other stages of an animal's life happens by mitotic cell division?

zygote always undergoes mitotic division and all other vegitative cells undergo mitosis meiosis takes place in sex cells

What processes do all cells undergo?

First they need to ingest energy in the form of foodstuffs. Then they need to produce the enzymatic facilities that all cells need to GROW; and finally when Growth is sufficient, they must needs to undergo cell division. Repeat as regulated.
