Sonny breaks up with Chad because So Random won the tween choice award for best show. Chad orders a recount instead of being happy for Sonny. They will not get back together because the show doesn't continue after season 2. This is due to Demi's health issues.

In the season 2 finale episode, Chad will sing a song for Sonny to get back together. (also: there will be a new girl in this epy, plus that's the name of the episode). Only the Producers know if they WILL break up for good or if they will stay together.

They made the episode tween choice A.K.A sonny with a choice because so sonny and chad could finally have their break up and also this episode might or might not air since of Demi Lovato's physical REHAB issues and major bad eating habits. Also, it might air so they will end Demi Lovato's last episode for Sonny with a chance. Then they will begin season 3 which Demi Lovato(who plays sonny) will not be a main character anymore. :'( Sad Right! P.S I am not sure if this is correct but it's what I heard from Disney!
