In the vampire diaries books do Elena and stefan end up together?

yes Stefan and Elena end up together in the book though in the book Damon tells Elena that Stefan is dead and Elena believed him. I didn't read the whole series but from what I read that is what happened.

Yes, the mian series they are prety much through out but in The Return series its's pretty hard to figure out right now. Two books are out, Nightfall and the most recent Shadow Souls and the third one is predicted to be out sometime this year titled Midnight. I haven't picked up SS but I'm guessing they'll be together, she said all of hr books have happy endings...

i know that L.J. Smith isn't finished with the very last book after the one in which Damon Elena and Bonnie save Stefan from the Kitsune (sp?) jail. so far tho they haven't gotten married. but it's a possibility.

No. Not that I know of. He's in love with Elena, Elena is in love with both of them, but she's always choosing Stefan. Damon and Bonny get pretty close (Sometimes). Most of the time Elena is stopping him from killing Bonny.

In the second book "The Struggle" stefan and Elena get engaged but then they broke up and now stefan is married to Alana.
