Best Answer

No. Humans undergo mitosis, because two daughter cells contain the same genetic makeup as the parent cell

Of course germ cells undergo meiosis. They produce sperms and ova

No. Not all cells undergo Meiosis. However, all sex cells (egg/sperm cells) do. Most cells are not sex cells; they are somatic (body) cells- cells that make up the tissue to create organs and skin for your body. These body cells go through Mitosis- not Meiosis! It is very easy to confuse the two; here is the gist of it:

Mitosis = somatic (body) cells Meiosis = sex (egg/sperm) cells

Mitosis and Meiosis are two very different processes; a single cell cannot go through both of these processes. That's why there are the two different types of cells: somatic and sex cells.

Well i learnt something in my science class and he had a bit to do meiosis and mitosis. What i was taught was that chromosomes would start to reproduce and then spindles would grow very slowly around the chromosomes then the chromosome would gradually latch together and they would reproduce. then they would split apart into two seprate clones

Can germ cells be involved in mitosis?

No. Germ cells undergo Meosis, while Somatic cells undergo Mitosis

During which phase of the cell cycle is the cell not dividing?

meosis. when fertilization ocurs the chromosomes from the ovum and the sperm aligh and split rather than multiplying. Oly the ovum and spern cells undergo meosis.

How many cells does meosis produce?

4

What are cells that are produced by meiosis?

Meosis produces sex cells called gametes.

Do all cells undergo mitosis division?

Yes, ALL cells undergo cell division. Because if there were types of cells that don't undergo cell division, these cells' specialization wouldn't be able to grow or be replaced. For example if hair cells didn't undergo cell division; your hair wouldn't be able to grow. NO!! Nerve cells,Red blood cells..they don't undergo cell division.

What type of cell division make body cells?

Meosis.

Does all the cells within a flower undergo meiosis just prior to pollination?

No. Only the cells that produce the gametes undergo meiosis.

What is meosis cell division?

meosis cell division is that where a diploid germ cell devides into four haploid cells at the time of gamet formation.

What boby cells undergo meiosis?

Body cells do not undergo meiosis. Reproductive cells undergo meiosis, body cells, mitosis.

Do blood cells undergo meiosis?

no. only the cells in the gonads which are to become gametes undergo mitosis. blood cells, like all cells but gamete cells are called somatic and only divide by mitosis.

What type of cells undergo meiosis?

Cells which produce gametes (sex cells) undergo meiosis.

Which Cell types rarely undergo mitosis?

All cells in the nervous system do not divide or replicate and thus do not undergo mitosis.
