Sorcery is a (loose) tradition within magick (note the k, this is not stage magick) that basically focuses upon direct, effective methods to get real, tangible results in the real world. Also known as results magick. Working with spirits and enchantments is a significant part of sorcery, like binding a spirit or demon of courage into a jewel worn around your neck. Or emenating sexual energy so girls you talk to are attracted to you. Anything goes. Sorcery also has a cool name; compare saying" 'I am a sorcerer" to "I am a wiccan/witch/priest/ritual magician". And no, magick doesnt just exist in the Harry Potter books/movies, tho its effects are less visually flashy.

Criss Angel is an illusionist. Sleight of hand and, yes, technology make up his work. It is NOT black magic. Or any kind of magic, for that matter. The difference between magic (ie. sorcery, witchcraft, etc.) and a magic trick (ie. what Criss Angel does) is like the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.
