A solar eclipse is what happens when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, blocking some of the light from the Sun as it comes to Earth.

A lunar eclipse happens when the Moon is on the opposite side of the Earth, relative to the Sun. So the Earth is in between the Sun's rays and the moon, blocking the light from getting to the Moon. lol malcolm chill out bruh im not playing

Solar eclipses are where the moon moves exactly between the sun and earth, blocking out to sun to observers on earth. Lunar eclipses are where the earth moves between the sun and moon, blocking out the sunlight to the moon - as observers on earth, we see the moon go into shadow (the earths shadow).

A solar eclipse is when the moon passes in front of the sun in the daytime during the New moon phase - the moon blocks out the sun's light and the sky gets dark with the moon revealing the sun's corona.

A lunar eclipse is when the full moon passes through the Earth's shadow during the night time - the moon darkens and looks reddish during a lunar eclipse.
