∙ 15y agoKeflex is preperation of Cefalexin. Cefalexin is a part of the group of antibiotics called Cephalosporins. Cephalosporins are a broad spectrum antibiotic, which means that they work on a range of infections, including meningitis, pneumonia, septicaemia and urinary tract infections.
Ciprofloxacin is a part of the group of antibiotics called Quinolones. It is a more specific antibiotic than Cefalexin and is effective against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria (see added wikipedia links for definitions of gram negative and gram positive bacteria). It is used for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections and gonorrhoea to name just a few.

the solubility of ciprofloxacin in water is 0.35g/10ml ,and in 0.1N Hcl is about 0.25g/10ml that means solubility of ciprofloxacin in water is more when compared to 0.1N Hcl
