Moses crossed the Red Sea with all the free Jews and also their cattle, horses and other stock animals. Specific people mentioned as travelling with Moses include his brother Aaron, his siste Miriam, and Joshua, who would later become the new leader of the Israelites. Guided by God, this tribe of hundreds of thousands of Hebrews crossed the Red Sea, escaping from slavery in Egypt.

Before the Exodus, Moses didn't cross it - he went around it. After the Exodus from Egypt, Moses, along with the other 2 million (more-or-less) Children of Israel, crossed the sea directly, on dry land, with the water resembling walls on their left and right, because God parted the waters while they crossed (Exodus ch.14).

Yes, but the actual site can't be determined with certainty. It happened in about 1450 BC. Six hundred thousand Israelite men, plus their families that the Pharoah released, as well as a conglomeration of others, came with him.

Answer 2:

The Bible says that God dried up a pathway through the sea, that the water stood like walls on either side of them, and that God spilled the sea back over the Egyptians when they began to follow them.

Answer 3:

@ the above, proof? The asker obviously knows about that already, they want to know if it is true not wanting people telling the story to them again.

My answer taken from a BBC documentary about Tsunamis is no he crossed the reed sea much upper north of the red sea and mistranslated. The Red sea is near the Mediterranean Ocean, coexisting with the events of exodus was the loss of the Minoan Civilization on the Greek Island of Crete which was destroyed from a Tsunami by a volcanic island called Thera, also the source of the Atlantis myth, before Tsunamis there are massive drawback of water this was the parting of the Reed sea and when the Tsunami struck it killed the Egyptian soldiers.

The Bible says that Moses helped the Israelite people cross the Red Sea. However, over 90 per cent of scholars are reported to believe that there never was an Exodus from Egypt as described in the Bible; Moses never parted the Red Sea.

Answer 2

Yes, Moses led the Israelites across the Sea of Reeds.

There is evidence of the Israelite Exodus. The Ipuwer papyrus mentions a number of the Plagues ("Pestilence is throughout the land....the river is blood, death is not scarce...there is no food...neither fruit nor herbs can be found...barley has perished...all is ruin...the statues are burned") (Professor John van Seters, Journal of Egyptian Archaeology no. 50). The plagues were also described by ancient historians, including Herodotus and Diodorus. The Exodus is mentioned by Strabo, Berosus, Artapanus, Numenius, Justin, and Tacitus.

The president of the Paleontological Research Corporation, Dr. Joel Klenck, states that archaeological discoveries indicate a crisis during the reign of the Egyptian Pharaoh Thutmose II of the Eighteenth Dynasty. An inscription by the succeeding Pharaoh Hatshepsut in her Underground Temple states that Egypt was "ruined" and "had gone to pieces" before the beginning of her reign.

What is the difference between moses crossing the red sea and Joshua crossing the Jordan river?

Moses crossed the red sea in order to escape from the Egyptians and slavery. After they crossed the Red Sea, they wandered around for 40 years. At last, they were guided by God to the promised land which they had to cross the Jordan River to enter. Unfortunately Moses died just before they entered the promised land, so the Israelites were guided by Joshua. So the Red Sea: escaping from slavery in Egypt.
