A ship that weighs 1,000 pounds displaces 1,000 pounds of water. Basically you are making a hole in the water that would take 1,000 pounds of water to fill, if it was Jell-O you could see the hole when you took the ship out. If you add 100 pounds of weight to the ship, be it feathers, foam, or lead, it will sink deeper and displace 100 more pounds of water.
A lower ship floats lower in the water than an empty ship because the loaded ship has more mass and weight so the ship is being pushed down and the empty ship is floating in the upper part because it is empty and as less mass and weight so eventually it will be floating up than the loaded ship.
It will float lower in the water regardless if the beach balls are inflated or not. The extra weight will effect the bouyancy of the ship.

Mixed cargo is simply more than one type of cargo. This is probably most commonplace amongst distribution fleets for major chain stores such as Best Buy, Wal Mart, Sears, et. al. A certain number of a specific product will be purchased. Those products will be taken to a regional distribution center. When the time comes to restock stores in the region, trucks will be loaded according to the needs of each store, and several different items will be loaded onto one vehicle to accomplish this, thus, you have mixed cargo.
genetic cargo is cargo produced genetically
Water transportation is often preferred for transporting heavy cargo because water can support greater weights compared to land. Ships and barges have large carrying capacities and can transport massive amounts of cargo in a single trip. Additionally, water routes are typically less congested than land routes, allowing for smoother and more efficient movement of heavy goods.
Cargo consolidation service provided by a freight forwarder in which several smaller shipments are assembled and shipped together to avail of better freight rates and security of cargo. Also called assembly service cargo, consolidation or freight consolidation.
Tonnage is used as a measurement of cargo ships.
there is a line on the side of the ship, as the cargo is loaded the ship sinks deeper into the water, when the the reaches the water, they must stop loading. That is the low tech method, nowadays with computers, shipping companies know down to the pound what has been loaded onto the ship. The computers are even smart enough to load containers that will be need first onto the top so they can be unloaded easier.

The lines drawn around the hull of a ship near the water-line is called a "Plimsoll line". This horizontal line is easily seen when the ship is empty and therefore riding higher out of the water. The more cargo loaded into ship the deeper it sinks into the water, and a ship can only be loaded with cargo etc down to this line and no furthur. Before its introduction there was no safe-loading-line on a vessel to prevent overloading by unscrupulous owners.
A sea port where goods are delivered directly by the vessel which originally loaded the cargo without shifting or transhipping the cargo enroute.
