There's claims on fan sites that they confessed their love at a Pizza Hut (Selena's favorite food). Abraham soon kicked Chris out of the band. He apparently went back home where Selena tracked him down and they had a private marriage without Abraham knowing.
The movie Selena implies that it was love at first sight but that apparently was not the case.
