no, i would definitely not bathe puppies in dawn dish liquid because it is too harsh for their new fur. Even if it was a full grown dog, i wouldn't use that because it could cause your dog to have an allergic reaction because it is not animal tested.

No. It will dry out their skin. Go buy a shampoo/conditioner specifically for dogs. Petco, Petsmart, most any animal stores, Walmart/Kmart, or online. Petco.com has quite a few shampoo's that are under $10. Petsmart.com has a couple under $15.

Dogs, just like us, have PH levels so dish washing liquid would irritate their skin. Dog shampoo is easily available and specially formulated for their skin.

In general, I would answer NO, but there is an exception: DAWN dish washing liquid. I have used this for many years with consistent results and effectiveness.

As a multiple dog owner (neo mastiff & English great danes) living in the country-side, I have found Dawn to be an effective non toxic preparation to combat fleas, ticks and an assortment of various and undesirable cooties.

By volume it cost's 90% less than medicated flea shampoo (which still has it's uses) so it's a better value. After using this I seem to notice that my dogs coat is somehow smoother, silkier, and revitalized.

With regular use you will avoid that "heavy" "greasy " feeling that comes from excessive use of pet conditioners that always seem to leave that residue on your pet.
