No, you are not able to use the LNB from DISH Network and receive dtv signal. Our receivers and LNB decode the signal to bring the picture to your TV.
You can't use our equipment, other than the dish itself without the LNB, to work on dtv.
Companies like Direct TV are the place to go for satellite receivers. Direct TV and Dish usually have high quality receivers which will pick up a signal on most days.
A satellite signal will be a radio signal. And a radio signal in space travels at the speed of light.
There are many reasons why you may have no signal from your satellite. Your service could have been disconnected for example.
Whether Direct T.V. is the best satellite system in the United States depends on what you are looking for. While both Direct T.V. and Dish network offer pricing close to one another, the major concern would be whether or not you want to choose satellite as your T.V. service. You would need to make sure that your location supports the satellite signal, and understand that your satellite signal may go out if it is raining or snowing outside. Direct T.V. is definitely a cheaper alternative to standard cable providers, but it cannot be labeled as the best, due to the fact that evey company's products will have their pros and cons.
The satellite signal can be blocked by various things.
The satellite signal uses microwave radiation and water absorbs microwaves. So when it rains or there are thick clouds the signal from the satellite gets absorbed and if enough is lost by this process your Dish Network receiver will lose signal
A satellite receievr, is a tv receiver, which connects to the satellite anntena, than to your tv, and decodes the information coming from the satellite signal into video and audio signal, so you can watch tv channels.
Most times the satellite radio will use an anntena but if your car has a "AUX IN" or "LINE IN" you can purchase the Direct Wired Kit and use that to transfer the signal to your car.
A satellite antenna has one very important purpose. It is designed to allow a home to receive a satellite signal, which then allows users to receive a television signal.
In satellite communication, up link refers to the signal traveling up to the satellite while down link refers to the signal coming from the satellite down to earth.
It sends a signal directly to the satellite and the satellite pinpoints the location of it.
