The way I learned Filipino (Tagalog) is by watching the Filipino channel and it's good to have someone translate then you will soon notice you can learn bits and parts till you can say sentences.

I am a Filipino so I can speak in Filipino. By the way, Tagalog is different from Filipino because Filipino-national language of the Philippines while Tagalog-dialect of the people in the Tagalog Region.

for example: for- orfa. you write the word without the first letter (or) then add the first letter (f) and then add "a". orfa means four. light is ightla. save is avesa. Get

it?

it really means if you have a coincident in front of the word well you really just take all of the coincidents to the back of the word and add ay.if there is a vowel you add yay.

Tough question to answer in a simple place like this. Bisaya is natively the most spoken language in the Philippines with about 26 million people using it daily.

Note, when you see a vowel repeated as in Maayong you say the word as Ma-ayong. Each vowel has to be pronounced separately.

Some very simple sentences and words for you to use in Bisaya are as follows

Maayong Buntag - Good morning

Maayong Hapon - Good afternoon

Maayong Gabii- Good evening / Good night

Komusta ka - How are you?

Maayo man - I`m fine.

Palihug- Please

Tagai ko kwarta, palihug. Give me money please.

Tubig - water

manok - chicken

baka - beef

baboy - pig

Now, another note. The spanish controlled the Philippines for over 300 years, so you will find words of spanish descent in Bisaya.

Pwede ko inom? May I drink?

Pwede means may, ko means I and imon means to drink.

Gusto ko kaon. I want to eat.

Gusto means want, again ko means I and kaon means to eat.

Hello,

This is Anonymous. Here is your first lesson of Spanish.

Let's crack on!

First, we should learn the alphabet which is slightly different...

A B C CH D E F G H I J K L LL M N Ñ O P Q R S … and so on you know the rest.

The thing you may struggle with is the names. Well you can learn that in Lesson 2 which will probably be below.

Now time for our question of the day...

Which letters in the Spanish alphabet are not in the English alphabet?

If you found this information useful please press the button that says 'top answer'.

I'm afraid this is the end of your first lesson with Anonymous, goodbye!

Hello this is Anonymous with your third lesson on Spanish...

Today we will be looking at accents and we will also have a quiz on the previous lessons so be ready!

Accents can be used to make sounds on letters to make them harder. In Spanish only the vowels can have accents like...

A - Á

E - É

I - Í

O - Ó

U - Ú

a - á

e - é

i - í

o - ó

u - ú

Look at these and learn.

When you have finished have a go at our quiz

What is a pronounced like?

A) ad

B) a

C) ah

D) an

Name the four letters in the Spanish alphabet that aren't in ours.

A) ó é á í

B) bn km op lo

C)ç y h o

D) ñ ll rr ch

And for our question of the day…

Do only vowels have accents?

Well that is the end of your third lesson with Anonymous. Next lesson we will be looking at the sounds that some of the letters make like ll y rr ñ. That's all for now.

¡Hasta pronto (see you soon)!

Where do they speak Filipino?

As a native language, in Luzon. Spoken by the Tagalogs who themselves are actually mestizos now since many have intermingled with Spanish during the colonial era. Filipino is the national standardized form of Tagalog, by the Philippine government. Only 55% of Filipinos speak Tagalog/Filipino as a native language. All others speak their own dialects, Cebuano, Chavacano, Waray-Waray, Bahasa Tausug and such. Those Filipinos speak Filipino (Tagalog) simply as a second language or a lingua franca. It is the unifying language of the Philippines. Also, Filipinos in America and Filipino communities speak Filipino/Tagalog as well as their own native dialects. Although their offspring and descendants 80% of the time no longer speak any Filipino language or dialect as they all speak English.

Who donated the Wikang Filipino to the Filipinos?

Nobody donates a language. A language is either inherited of acquired. A Filipino born in another country can learn to speak the language of the country where he or she is born and not learn to speak Filipino. A concrete example is in the USA. There are many Filipinos who are born in the USA whose parents are from the Philippines but can only speak English. Therefore Filipinos inherited and acquire to speak Filipino since we all learn at the very early age the Filipino language.
