Can you suggest any contractors in Florida that will give you an estimate to fill in an unused swimming pool?
Check with your local government to see what must be done to inactivate the pool. Some require removing the pool or breaking up the bottom of the pool before filling it in. Also, you should deal with the plumbing involved.

Answer . Perhaps you could turn it into an underground cellar or shed. Put a roof over it and make it like a basement? Just an idea. You could store things there or use it… as a place to hide if there is a tornado (if you live in a problem area).
Estimating swimming pool cost's . Many factors come into play when estimating maintenance cost. Like how many gallons is your pool? A simple formula for an approximate size… is : Length of your pool X (times) Width X average depth (6' in the deep end 4' in the shallow, average depth is 5') X 7.5 , and your answer will tell you the gallons of your pool. How much foreign material falls into the pool, total pool usage, hot weather and filtering system upkeep. Add up your chemical cost from that, and some good 'ol fashioned labor is all it cost's. An average cost per month for a 10' by 30' pool should cost about $25. Of course more pool traffic, more chemicals. more cost. But the enjoyment of the pool certainly makes up for any cost. Chemical tester strips are a must, buy some and learn to use them, they'll pay for themselves in the long run, avoiding costly shock treatments or worse, pool drainage, and acid washes.
Answer . Not gunnite. Plastic lined MIGHT be OK
Answer . After you add all of the chemicals that are needed (get your water tested at a pool dealer) usually the next day at the longest.
Knowing that 2/3 of every house has pool, calculate that to how many houses in Florida there are.

If you just dump dirt into it you may end up with a situation where water stays within the pools area leading to boggy ground so to make the ground behave like the surrounding… area you will need to have some point where excess water can drain into the natural ground.
That depends on how quickly you put water in it. with a hose at home it should take about a day.
\nBust up all the concrete... Bust out all the PVC piping. Fill in with dirt. Check your local codes on water removal.
If you are just looking to remove a pool that you don't want and which is still functional, you may try advertising it in Craig's list or Freecycle. You can say that they can …have it for free if they remove the item. You may have to stipulate what they can and cannot remove. However, in most cases this works great.
It depends... how long, wide, and deep it is.
From your outdoor water spigot or if it is really big, you can buy water trucks from certain companies.
