That depends on the type of pan (stainless, aluminum, etc.) and the type of food (acid, not acid).
If the pan is stainless steel, then any kind of food could be stored in it.
If the pan is anything else, I'd make sure the food isn't acid, like Jello or spaghetti sauce.
Of course you can. The food in the pot will not cause any harm to your refrigerator as long as the pot has cooled down. It's probably not safe to put the Teflon pot in the refrigerator if it scorching hot. That might not be safe.
Mr. Know it all
I don't see an issue with storing food in pots and pans in the refrigerator. But it is not a good idea to store food in pots and pan at all particularly if the pans are aluminum or cast iron. Acid foods can etch the aluminum or cast iron. Leaving any food in cast iron can make it lose its seasoning and cause it to rust.
Put it in a jar or bowl. You can do anything but I don't believe much research has been done on the effects of storing food in teflon.
Sure.
Only thing, if the fridge has glass shelves, make sure that the pan has cooled off first.
no because the food can rot or spoil

Yes.
If the sealed pan was kept in the refrigerator, it should be OK. If it was left out at room temperature, then it should be discarded.
I have same problem. RCA refrigerator with no drip pan that pools water once or twice a month.
yes
I'm not sure how to get it off. Probably with certain chemicals but it is definitely not safe to cook on again.
No, it is not. The non-stick material (such as teflon) might get in the food and you might swallow it. It's best to get a new non-stick pan.
