I believe the AC belt also runs the Alternator in the earlier sebrings, if that is the case, I would highly recommend that you not operate the car without the belt.
What year is the car?
The car is a '95 coupe...but I have since learned the AC belt only runs the AC...so you can safely remove it and the car runs fine and silently now...thanks for the help and I hope my info helps someone else.
Only if the ac compressor is the only thing on that belt.
Yes. The ac belt only runs the ac and it will not hurt to run with out it.
Yes.
Yes you could. That belt is only for the AC.
If the squeeling is under the hood it is probably the AC belt. If the defroster is on the AC is on. Just tighten the belt. If the squeeling is under the hood it is probably the AC belt. If the defroster is on the AC is on. Just tighten the belt.
will chrysler lhs not run wen ac belt is broken
There is no such vehicle in 1999 they made a 2.4L and a 2.5L.
Belt about 20 bucks unless AC run by a "serpentine belt" (all one belt runs everything) then belt cost $ 80. and labor for serpentine $ 75. labor for just AC non serpentine belt $ 30
I believe the only thing that belt was driving is the AC compressor. Check to make sure that the belt wasn't turning anything else. If all it was driving was the compressor, and you don't need to use the ac, you can drive your car without that belt.
Yes
belt diagram for ford 4.9 without ac.
Many cars can have the ac compressor bypassed. Buying a belt for the same model vehicle without ac should be the correct length for a replacement.
