Yes, but you might have trouble getting a repossession company to take the account. If you know where the car is, you might be better off just picking it up yourself. Get some keys made, or perhaps you have a spare key? You will not be arrested for taking your own car back (if your name is on the title).

Your son gave you a truck as a gift you are on the title vehicle is insured and registered in your name He is in default on his loan Can the bank repossess your vehicle?

If there is a loan against the car then the bank is on the title and they own the car, your name would be on the registration but not on the title, so yes they can repo it. If you have the actual title in hand then their is no loan on it and you own the car.

One can either take the bike ones self or hire a recovery agent to do it. Does one know where the bike is? Do one have a key to the bike? Do one have somethiong to haul the bike on? PS. is one's name on the TITLE? id not, one is in a bad place. If one is ONLY on the loan and not the TITLE, one has been had.

What is a title loan?

A title loan is also known as car title loan. It is a type of secured loan where you can use your vehicle title as collateral to get the funds you need. When you borrow with your car title, you allow the lender to place a lien on the title of your car, SUV, RV, truck, or motorcycle in exchange for a loan amount. This loan don't rely on your credit score.

If the loan is in your name with a stepson as cosigner but he is not making payments on time can you repo the car?

Only the LENDER can repossess the vehicle. Is this stepson a minor? If so, you have parental authority to tell him he cannot drive the car. Even if he is over 18, if you are the primary on the loan, I'll bet your name is also on the title and if it is you can just take YOUR car.
