The quick answere is no. You need to know the minimum sytem requirements of the video card so you can compare them to your PC's system features, and the type of monitor you are going to use. Also make sure the power supply inside your PC has enough power and the right conections to hook up and drive the card. If all this is good be aware that you will need at least a 17" monitor with high resolution capability to enjoy the features the new card. No. Its all down to the slot on the motherboard. The main types of modern day Graphics cards are PCI-express and AGP. AGP is the older standard so generally an AGP graphics card will only work on an older motherboard. PCI-Express (or PCIe as its also known) generally requires a newer type motherboard. However, there are motherboards that support both AGP and PCIe.
It depends on the motherboard and the graphics card. Let's say I'm buying a geforce 9600 512 mb from newegg.com. So it tells you its interface, its either agp (very unlikely, only for really old computers), pci, pci express, or pci express 2.0. Each of them have a different shape for the way they fit into a motharboard, so an AGP video card would not fit in a PCI Express 2.0 slot. The newest interface right now is PCI Express 2.0; so you would need a motharboard that supports that. Any somewhat new motherboard should support that. And I should recommend you either the Nvidia Geforce 9600 512 mb whose interface is PCI Express 2.0 ; here:

(only $130, at a store I paid $150 for it so it depends where you go)
or if you have the money and you really want it,
get the 1gig Geforce 9800 (1 gig video memory as opposed to 512 on the 9600)
Unfortunately right now they are about 400-600 bucks, so right now its not nearly worth it as computer games barely even need 512 mb of video memory.
Now IF you have an SLi motherboard (Google it, Google is your friend) you can double up on your video cards, (there will be two video card slots so if you want you can put in an extra video card). But if you do that I suggest you get an Über big power supply and a really good fanning system; or your computer will get fried. And by the way, right now you don't need to do that so I don't suggest it.
Just get the Geforce 9600 if you are looking for a new video card; that's what I did (MAKE SURE YOUR MOTHERBOARD SUPPORTS IT) If it doesn't; seriously, upgrade your computer man.
The only reason why you would get a 1gig geforce 9800 would be to double up with sli and have 2 total gigs of video memory at one time (2x more than you could achieve with just two 512's on SLi.) But for that you need a liquid cooling system and probably like a 1000 watt powersupply.
Technically no. You have to have a certain power supply to run certain ones.
No
No. The "graphics card" in a PlayStation 3 is integrated into the motherboard.
No u cant put a graphics card into a laptop no it is not hard to put a graphics card in a lap top...its impossible *The person before is an idiot. Yes, its possible. Extremely difficult. You must have years and years of computer experience and be a computer engineer. I believe the graphics card has to be dedicated for there to be a chance.
No you cannot :(. The PlayStation 3 has a intergrated GPU(graphics card) which is solderd onto the motherboard, and there are no slots for a graphics upgrade unlike a computer which can be upgraded.
theres no such thing as a free graphics card unless you dig it out of the trash...a graphics card is like a big computer chip that you put into your computers agp slot
as long as the other computer has the correct expansion slot
Yes you can,u just need a slot for it to put manually or give it to a computer store. They will do the job for you.
no, install the graphics card correctly in your computer and then proceed to install the drivers.
All systems have a graphics card. If one isn't in the slot to put one in, then you'd be using the one already built into the motherboard which aren't very good. Without a graphics card, your computer won't show anything.
Computer graphics is basically pictures, art, or designs made or put on a computer.
Yeah, Although you can upgrade the video card on a laptop, it is very difficult and you would need to open your laptop up, and then un-solder the card and then put new compatible card in and then solder again. The soldering part is the main question... a professional computer tech will have to do this... and it'll cost you$$$... So by the time you pay for that, investing in a newer computer is a better option. Good Luck!
A optimized card that is pushing the limit to a higher point in performance
The vgraphics card and and processor are separate entities. You do not do anything with the Pentium 4 processor when installing a graphics card. Simply put the graphics card in the AGP or PCI-E (they are bigger slots that look like pci slots) slot of your motherboard, plug in the power connnector if neccisary, then boot your computer. You will need to install drivers which are available online or on the CD included with the card. As with all hardware, make sure to avoid static discharge on the item.
