Use any quality interior wall paint such as Benjamin Moore's Regal Wall Satin. But not until you have primed those walls! Use Kilz oil primer for walls that have shiny wallpaper on them. If the wallpaper has a flat look, then it would be okay to go to Wal Mart for some Kilz II water base primer.

∙ 15y agoI own an older double wide in NJ and decided to paint over one of our bathrooms since the floral pattern might have looked good 20 years ago, but has not for at least a decade. I found that if you thoroughly clean the walls with TSP or similar after lightly scuffing the surface with a scothbrite pad and then using a quality primer that is made for this purpose (read the can), then painting with a good quality paint you should have not problems. I have had good luck with a Glidden primer and Behr paint. I painted about two years ago and have had no problems with peeling or cracking.

∙ 14y agoSince most mobile homes get hot and cold year round. I would use an interior/exterior latex paint. A satin or semigloss would be best so you may wash it.

∙ 11y agoIf the wallpaper was original, then it will come off easily, that's preferable. If it won't come off and is not ripped or loose, paint a good primer right over it, then your regular paint.
