No it is not recommended to do so. You can have future problems if the wood ever builds up enough moisture underneath, which will cause it to expand and bubble up. Best thing to do is do it over a concrete surface, especially if it is glue. You can watch this video tutorial that gives pretty thorough instructions on how to install it. Hope this helped.

Is luxury vinyl tile better in a kitchen than laminate?

I think that luxury vinyl tile or plank is a great option for a kitchen. First, it is waterproof (laminate is not and with water it can be permanently damaged. Second, luxury vinyl is usually glued down to the floor, so it is more secure and feels/sounds more real vs. a laminate floor which is floating and sounds tinny/hollow underneath. Third, if you floor is uneven/not level, the luxury vinyl will work better as it is a flexible material and can tolerate indiscrepancies; a laminate floor will move a lot of if the floor is uneven (and could even buckle and break if it's too uneven. Please note that you will still need to make sure you floor is smoothed out before putting luxury vinyl on top, as the the vinyl will telegraph the shape of what is underneath it.

Can laminate flooring be installed in a camping trailor which is not temperature controlled year round?

You can install laminate flooring but I would not recommend it. I would suggest carpeting or a vinyl floor. There are products available such as luxury vinyl tiles that come in wood designs that can be glued directly to the floor. The thing you have to remember is when it is not climate controlled moisture plays critical part in the stability of the floor.

Does vinyl plank flooring need an adhesive.?

Vinyl plank flooring is available in two main installation types: adhesive-based (glue-down) and adhesive-free (floating). Whether you need adhesive for vinyl plank flooring depends on the type of vinyl plank and the installation method you choose: Adhesive-Based (Glue-Down) Vinyl Plank Flooring: Some vinyl plank flooring products require adhesive for installation. In this method, you apply a specific adhesive to the subfloor and then press the vinyl planks into the adhesive. Glue-down vinyl plank flooring is commonly used in commercial applications and situations where a more permanent installation is desired. It provides a firm and stable floor. Adhesive-Free (Floating) Vinyl Plank Flooring: Many modern vinyl plank flooring products are designed for adhesive-free, floating installation. This method involves interlocking the planks together without adhesive, and they "float" over the subfloor. Adhesive-free vinyl plank flooring is popular for residential installations because it is generally easier to install, allows for flexibility in design and layout, and is often suitable for do-it-yourself projects. The floating vinyl planks can be installed over a variety of subfloors, including existing flooring, as long as they are smooth, dry, and level. When choosing vinyl plank flooring, make sure to check the manufacturer's recommendations for the specific product you're using. The installation instructions will specify whether adhesive is required or if it's designed for a floating installation. Adhesive-free vinyl plank flooring has become more common and is often preferred for its ease of installation and versatility. If you opt for adhesive-free vinyl plank flooring, it's essential to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for proper acclimatization, subfloor preparation, and installation to ensure a successful and durable installation.

Can you lay a penny floor over laminate?

I'm guessing that you mean penny round tile. If so, no should never lay this over a laminate floor. Laminate floors are floating, so they move and your tile/grout will crack. You are also not supposed tile on top of any form of wood (laminate is recycled hardwood), because it expands and contracts so it will also cause the tile and grout to crack. You should remove the laminate. And then install on top of either smooth concrete, level it or add in cement board. If, however, you actually mean vinyl, then it depends the condition of the vinyl. It's usually better to remove it, but you might be able to get instead pour 1/2 self leveling cement or put cement board on top and then install. Your floor should be smooth and level before installing the tile.

Can vinyl flooring be put on top of laminate wood flooring?

Yes, laminate flooring can be laid over vinyl flooring, however, there are some considerations. First of all, inspect your vinyl flooring for any damage. Acordian style tears will create a "bump" in your finished laminate floor, which will be visibly noticeable, and it won't wear well. Large tears that result in missing pieces of vinyl will cause a "dip" in your finished laminate floor, which is also not a desireable result. Either and/or both of these problem areas will also compromise the integrity of your laminate flooring, and may also cause weak joints.
